What to Expect on the Day of Your Pressure Washing Appointment
You do not need to be home, provided we have access to an outdoor water spigot and any gate codes in advance. Before we arrive, close all windows and doors firmly, move vehicles off the driveway, and clear patio furniture and potted plants where you can. Most residential jobs take between two and seven hours, and concrete is typically dry within a few hours of finishing.
What we need from you
A working outdoor spigot is the main one. Pressure washing uses a lot of water and we draw from the house supply. If your spigot is broken or turned off at the main, tell us beforehand so we can bring water instead.
Gate codes and access to any locked side gate. A surprising number of appointments stall on a padlocked gate with nobody home.
Somewhere to park close enough to run hose. On most driveways this is not an issue, but it matters on narrow lots and in townhome communities.
What to do before we arrive
Close all windows and doors firmly, including any that are usually left ajar. Check second-floor windows in particular, which is where water finds its way in.
Move vehicles off the driveway and away from the surfaces being cleaned. Overspray is harmless but nobody wants a freshly washed car spotted.
Take down anything fragile hanging on the walls, and move patio furniture and potted plants clear if you can manage it. We will move what remains, but a clear area is faster.
If you have pets that use the garden, plan to keep them inside while we work.
While we are there
We protect landscaping before starting, which means wetting beds down so any solution that reaches them is diluted, then rinsing again afterwards.
You will hear the machine. It is loud in the way a lawnmower is loud, and it moves around the property as we work rather than staying in one place.
If we find something you should know about, damaged siding, a soft board, a gap in flashing, we will tell you rather than wash over it. Washing sometimes reveals problems that were already there and hidden under growth.
Afterwards
Concrete and pavers are usually dry within a few hours in Florida heat. Siding dries faster than that.
If anything was sealed, allow 24 to 48 hours before vehicle traffic, and we will give you an exact figure on the day since humidity affects cure time.

Light rain rarely affects a wash in progress. Heavy rain means we stop and come back to finish at no extra charge, since the quote is a fixed price for the job.
